A Dental Assistant plays a vital role in supporting dental professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of a dental practice. They work closely with dentists and dental hygienists to provide essential patient care and assist in various dental procedures. The job responsibilities of a Dental Assistant may include:

Job responsibilities

  • Assisting during Dental Procedures
  • Sterilizing and Organizing Instruments
  • Taking and Developing Dental X-Rays
  • Preparing Dental Materials
  • Providing Patient Care and Education
  • Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization
  • Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.
  • Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • Dental Assisting Program
  • Physical Stamina
  • CA Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT or LMFT) or,
  • CPR Certification
